As we joyfully celebrate The Global Child’s 21st anniversary, we take a moment to reflect on the profound journey that has brought us here—21 years of changing lives through education, empowerment, and community. What began as a vision to serve vulnerable children in Cambodia has grown into a thriving learning environment that continues to shape compassionate and capable leaders for the future.
To our students, past and present: You are the heart of TGC. Your determination, curiosity, and achievements inspire us daily. Over the past 21 years, we have witnessed your transformation into empowered individuals, ready to make a difference in the world. You are the reason we do what we do, and we couldn’t be prouder of you.
To our dedicated staff: Your commitment to nurturing, teaching, and guiding our students is the backbone of our success. Your tireless efforts, innovative approaches, and unwavering belief in the potential of every child are what make TGC a beacon of hope. Thank you for being the pillars of this community.
To our supporters and sponsors: Your generosity and faith in our vision have made it all possible. Every milestone achieved and every life changed is a testament to your compassion and partnership. Thank you for standing with us through every step of this journey.
This past year alone has been filled with incredible milestones. We witnessed the graduation of two of our dedicated alumni—Sreyneang and Sokoam—who have become powerful examples of what’s possible when young women are given the tools to succeed. Our beloved English teacher, Teacher Soben, also celebrated a major personal and professional achievement, earning his Master’s Degree—an accomplishment supported by TGC and cheered on by the entire community.
Our students participated in impactful mentoring programs, leading reading clubs and hygiene lessons for younger children in local schools. They also engaged in computer, art, dance, and cooking classes, gaining both academic knowledge and life skills. Special field trips to Kulen Mountain and the Giant Puppet Parade allowed students to connect more deeply with Cambodia’s history, culture, and creative arts.
We also said farewell to treasured members of our family, Mum Pov and Mum Liv, who retired after 20 years of devoted service. Their legacies of love, care, and quiet strength continue to inspire us, and Mum Pov’s passing in early 2025 deeply saddened us all. We honor her memory and her lasting impact on generations of students.
Each of these moments, big and small, reflects the strength of our mission and the unity of our community. To our incredible students—you are the reason we continue to grow. To our teachers, staff, and volunteers—thank you for your dedication and heart. To our donors and partners—your support fuels every success and every dream fulfilled.
