My life before joining The Global Child (TGC) in 2013 was a struggle. I was a student at Wat Svay Primary School, a public school in Siem Reap, but my family faced financial hardship. We couldn’t afford school supplies, and the lack of money for my daily needs made it difficult to continue my education. I considered quitting school to find a job and help my family.
Fortunately, I learned about The Global Child, an organization that supports underprivileged students. I was incredibly lucky to be chosen to join the program.
At TGC, I received a comprehensive education that went beyond the classroom. The program provided me with an exceptional opportunity to learn English, computer skills, and other vital subjects. More importantly, it instilled in me valuable hard and soft skills that prepared me for the future. I graduated from TGC in 2022, equipped with the knowledge and confidence to pursue higher education.
After graduation, I continued my studies at Build Bright University (BBU), where I am now in my fourth year of a Law degree. University life has been great. Thanks to the skills and experience I gained at TGC, I feel more confident and knowledgeable in my university subjects. The foundation I received has made a significant difference in my academic journey.
I am immensely grateful to TGC for the transformative impact it has had on my life. Your unwavering support and generosity have opened doors to endless possibilities for countless other students and me. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to all the TGC donors and staff who have played such a pivotal role in my education and future.
