My name is Kanha Pou, and before joining The Global Child (TGC) in 2009, life was a struggle. My parents had passed away, and I lived with my aunt, grandma, and my siblings. My aunt didn’t have enough money to support my studies, so my brother stopped school to find a job and help her.
Fortunately, I was given a chance to study at The Global Child, an organization that supports underprivileged students. I was so lucky to be a part of the program.
At TGC, I received a comprehensive education that went beyond the classroom. The program provided me with an exceptional opportunity to learn English, computer skills, and other vital subjects. The Global Child also taught me to be more confident and gave me a wealth of knowledge. I graduated from TGC in 2018.
After graduation, I continued my studies at Build Bright University (BBU), where I focused on Hospitality and Tourism. I have now graduated from BBU and am working in Poipet City. I am very grateful to BBU for giving me so many skills, experiences, and knowledge.
I want to express my sincere thanks to The Global Child and all the sponsors who have supported kids like me in Siem Reap. Because of you, I was given a chance at a new life and can see a great future for myself.
